In our home, we are lucky to have a spare bedroom, but not a room that can be solely dedicated to an office for myself. Therefore, the spare bedroom has to function as both a guest bedroom and an office. The previous set-up I had in this space just was not working.

It seemed that the office area was taking over too much of the bedroom area. After doing some rearranging and visually dividing the room with two different paint colors, we finally have a functional space for both guests and us.

This makeover was really simple. To create the feel of two different spaces in the room, I used two different paint colors – a creamy white and a rich black.

Most of my room was already painted in Behr's Creamy White. If your room is not already painted a color that you want to keep, go ahead and paint all the walls except one in your new color. Choose one wall to be painted black (mine was the wall the bed is against). Use a 2” paint brush to paint the edges of your walls first and then come back and roll on the paint.

THE BIG REVEAL
